Dongo (born as Rachendrick Estanista) is a rapper from Curaçao, known by the stage name Dongo. He began making music at the age of sixteen and released his first professional track in 2010. His breakthrough mainly came after 2014 with the single “Hodedo,” which became a hit on the ABC islands and within the Antillean community in the Netherlands. Dongo’s style mixes elements of Antillean rap, dembow and street culture — often raw and direct, sometimes with humor — allowing him to tell stories that are relatable to many listeners. With millions of streams and a growing audience in both the Caribbean and the Netherlands, Dongo is one of the standout voices in the contemporary Curaçao urban scene.
